El Real de San Vicente

El Real de San Vicente is located at an altitude of 750 metres above sea level on the Toledo side of the Gredos mountains. At this altitude, there is a sharp difference in temperature between day and night, which is particularly beneficial when the grapes are ripening. The soil is sandy, of granite origin with some quartz.

The Garnacha vines that Bodegas Arrayán works in this vineyard were planted in the mid-20th century.

The combination of altitude and soil with the age of the vines gives the wines a unique personality, with a fineness and freshness that distinguish them from Garnacha grown in other areas.

The vines are worked using traditional techniques in line with the standards of organic farming: no chemical are used, and all work is done by hand.
