Cebreros
Cebreros is located in the Gredos mountains, in the province of Ávila. It is one of the oldest wine-producing regions in Spain.
Garnacha de Arrayán is made from a single vineyard planted over 60 years ago in slate soil; it is located in the Arrebatacapas pass, 980 metres above sea level, on a 32% slope.
The climate is continental, with a sharp temperature difference between day and night that can exceed 20ºC.
Both the slate soil and the altitude contribute to producing a very concentrated fruit with a strong personality, which give this wine a pronounced mineral character.
The abrupt terrain makes it very difficult to work the vineyard; all work is by hand, using organic farming techniques.
